Provincial Minister for Women Development Department Hameeda Waheeduddin has said that under a Phased-Programme, a number of daycare centers are being setup across the province for working women.
She was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Daycare Center at Ghulab Devi Chest Hospital Ferozepur Road, here today. On this occasion, CEO Dr Hamid Hassan, MD Professor Dr Abdul Rehman, Director WDD Muhammad Tahir, doctors, nurses and others were also present. While addressing the participants, the provincial Minister Hameeda Waheeduddin said that the government has taken a number of solid steps for women empowerment. She said that our women are contributing a lot in the national development of the country. She said that Pakistan is making commendable progress with the active participation of women. She said that the government has increased job quota from 5% to 15% to encourage the women to play their due role in the national progress and prosperity. She said that the government has ensured socio-economic uplift of women by taking concrete measures under various women packages. Earlier, the Provincial Minister inaugurated the daycare center and appreciated the standard of available facilities there.
