Online Drug Sale Licensing System Has Been Introduced In Punjab—Kh. Imran

Punjab Minister for Primary & Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir has said that no compromise would be made on quality and standard of medicines and provision of high quality medicines to be ensured for public. He said that good manufacturing practices would be enforced in pharmaceutical industry. Kh. Imran Nazir further said that online drug sale licensing system has been introduced in Punjab, this intervention would bring more transparency and merit in the system.
He stated this while presiding over a meeting of Provincial Quality Control Board, here today. Besides, Secretary Primary & Secondary Health Ali Jan Khan, Additional Secretary Drug Wing Muhammad Sohail, senior officers of the department and all the Secretaries of District Quality Control Board attended the meeting. Kh. Imran Nazir directed that implementation on the online drug sale licensing system must be ensured. On this occasion, orientation and awareness session for the officers of DQCB regarding online drug sale licensing system was also arranged. Kh. Imran Nazir disclosed that every month meeting of PQCB would be held in Lahore to evaluate the performance of DQCB.
Meanwhile, Minister Primary Health Kh. Imran Nazir also chaired a meeting of Deputy District Health Officers (Preventive), here on Saturday during which the spread of diseases and the steps taken to control on it was discussion in detail. The meeting reviewed the situation of TB, hepatitis, AIDs, diabetes, dengue, malaria, polio and other diseases. The officers were directed to improve their performance and should take efficient measures to check the diseases at district level.
