In order to ensure quality and modern medical facilities to the patient, it has been decided to establish state of the art CCU Ward at Lahore General Hospital. It was disclosed by the Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute(PGMI) Prof. Ghiyas-un-Nabi Tayyab here today. He told that latest medical equipment worth three crore rupees were also being purchased to equip this Coronary Care Unit being set up in the Emergency Department where cardiac patients would be given immediate medical relief. He told that earlier this facility was not available in Lahore General Hospital and on the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, up-gradation of the hospital is progress. He said that apart from Neuro other diseases were also being treated successfully in LGH and every department was doing utmost efforts to provide quality medical care to the patients. Prof. Ghiyas-un-Nabi Tayyab expressed determination that the struggle would continue to make better arrangements to facilitate the patients in Lahore General Hospital.
