Primary Healthcare Department Plans Health Week in Southern Punjab Hospitals

On the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, a team led by Provincial Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Ali Jan Khan has left for a four-day tour of southern Punjab.
During the visit, the Health Secretary will monitor the arrangements of Health Week starting from August 15 (today) in district and tehsil headquarters hospitals there. Meanwhile, Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Kh. Imran Nazir will also leave for the tour of southern Punjab on August 16.
The Provincial Secretary Ali Jan Khan has said that he and Provincial Health Minister will jointly review the Health Week arrangements. They will also monitor the overall conditions of the hospitals including the process of revamping, provision of healthcare facilities, eradication of dengue and congo virus and other matters of public importance. The Minister and Secretary Health will also inspect drug testing laboratory in Multan and will review the pace of development of different schemes there.
During the first leg of his tour, the Secretary Health Mr. Ali Jan inspected the DHQ Hospital, Okara on August 15. He and other members of the team inspected different matters including ongoing development schemes, general conditions of cleanliness, store room and other sections of the hospital.
