Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Kh. Salman Rafiq has said that 3 day Pak-Medica-Medical and Health Exhibition held at EXPO Centre would bring tremendous opportunities for promoting cooperation in health sector and open new avenues for bilateral trade and economic activities between Turkey and Punjab province. He disclosed that this exhibition would be held every year in Lahore in which Turkish and Pakistani manufactures of medical equipment would display their products. Kh. Salman Rafiq said that deliberations have been made with different institutions including Ghazi group of Turkey for establishing a state of the art Central Lab in Lahore. Moreover, Hovelson Sesoft Company would extend cooperation for preparing Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) for Pakistan Kidney Liver and Research Institute, Lahore. Kh. Salman Rafiq further said that the three day medical exhibition would also helpful for launching joint venture in public as well as private sector. Kh Salman Rafiq said that products of Turkish Companies would be available in Pakistan. He said that Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah played an active role in the discussions with the Turkish delegates. Coordinator Pak-Medica Exhibition and Deputy Secretary Primary Health Dr. Yaddullah informed that during three day exhibition more than two thousand people belonged to medical and business community visited the event and express their keen interest in the medical equipment and other products on Turkish companies. At the concluding of three day medical exhibition, Minister Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Kh. Salman Rafiq and Minister Primary and Secondary Helath Kh. Imran Nazir hosted a dinner in honor of the business community and delegates from Ministry of Health Turkey in a local hotel. Provincial Ministers, elected public representatives and high ranking officers of the provincial government attended the dinner.
