LGH Staff and Doctors will Remain High Alert on Ashoora

All doctors, nurses and Para medical staff of Lahore General Hospital has been put on high alert on the eve of “ashoora” and all kind of leave has been cancelled for emergency staff. Similarly, special beds have been arranged for affecties of “zangeer zani” where they will be treated on priority basis with special arrangements. This was told in a special meeting held here under the chairmanship of Principal of Post Graduate Medical Institute Prof. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab to review the arrangements made for “ashoora” .He directed the doctors, nurses and other staff to remain fully aware and leave no stone unturned for discharging their duties on this important religious event. Principal was told that extra medicines and blood has been arranged to meet any kind of situation. Moreover, a control room on 042 99264117 has been established where, in three shifts, administrative doctors would be available for any help. In General Hospital, extra staff has also been provided which would be available till 11th Muharram ul Harram to overcome the situation. Principal PGMI Prof. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab called upon all the doctors, nurses and other staff to prove their abilities on the eve of “ashoora” and said that he himself would also monitor the situation. Medical Superintendent of General Hospital Dr. Ghulam Sabir also asked the doctors and other staff to remain fully aware and work with national and religious zeal on “ashoora” and ensure prompt response on 9th and 10th Moharram ul Harram for the general public.
