Provincial Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education (SH&ME) Najam Ahmad Shah visited Government Khwaja Safdar Medical College Sialkot, on the last evening & discussed the educational activities with the principal Professor Dr Zafar Ali Chaudhry. The Secretary took a round of the medical college. Later Najam Ahmad Shah inspected the inseminator installed for the hospital waste management. Professor Zafar Chaudhry informed the Secretary that the inseminator is burning hazardous hospital waste of 71 public & private hospitals & laboratories including the waste of Government Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital, Government Sardar Begum Hospital Sialkot & Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Daska. He informed the Secretary that the machine is disposing hundred kilograms of waste per hour at the temperature of seven to eight hundred centigrade Celsius. Secretary Health Najam Ahmad Shah directed that proper maintenance of the inseminator must be insured so that the machine could maintain its efficiency & remain functional/durable for a long time.
