A special meeting of Provincial Selection Board II (PSB-II) was held under the Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Omer Rasul in Civil Secretariat here today, the meeting gave approval for the promotion of 73 doctors of various categories from grade 18 to 19.
According to the spokesperson of the health department the special meeting of PSC-II was requisitioned on the request of Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education (SH&ME) Department Najam Ahmad Shah with a view to promote doctors of the department expeditiously. On the direction of Najam Ahmad Shah, the concerned officers of the department prepared working papers of the doctors on priority basis to put into the meeting due to which holding of PSB-II meeting was materialized. Special Secretary Health Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chohan, Additional Secretary Admin Dr Raja Mansoor & Senior Officers of other concerned departments attended the meeting. The meeting gave approval for the promotion of 46 senior dental surgeons as principal dental surgeons in grade 19. Similarly, 12 Urologists, 8 Anaesthetician, 2 Pharmacologists & each from Paeds Nephrology, Paeds Radiology, Microbiology, Infectious diseases & Endocrinology have been promoted as Associate Professors. Today total of 73 doctors of SH&ME department have been recommended for promotion in grade 19 by PSB-II.
