Delegates from North America, Norway, Malaysia, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bangladesh Be a Part of International UNESCO Conference on Safety of Journalists & 2nd Int’l Conference on the Women’s Role in Society and Media.

UNESCO, Higher Educational Commission and Institute of Communication Studies Punjab University are organizing two international Conferences from 27th February to 1st march in Punjab University. Senior Subject specialists, researchers and journalists from North America, Norway, Malaysia, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bangladesh will take part in both international conferences. Senior Journalists and Communication exerts from all over the country will also contribute in the conferences in ICS, PU. First One-Day International Conference on "World Trends in Freedom of Expression and Media Development; A Pakistani Perspective on UNESCO Report” will be held on 27thFebruary while the second International Conference on “Working Within and Against the Structures: Women, Media and Transnational Perspective” will be held from 28th February to 1st March 2018.

Vice Chancellor University of the Punjab Prof. Dr. Zakarya Zakir, Ambassadors of Norway and Sweden, In-charge Institute of Communication Studies Punjab University Dr. Noshina Saleem, Dr. Bushra Hameed Ur Rahman, Senior Journalists Sohail Warraich, Tallat Hussain, Salman Ghani, Naseem Zahra, Mazhar Abbas, Tanveer Shahzad, Azam Chaudhary, Katrina Hussein, Humaira Awais, Nosheen Naqvi and others will also participate in the conferences. In three days there will be a total of 19 sessions I which research papers will be presented and debates will occur on several interesting topics. These conferences are unique because there will be more than 100 international scholars, Journalists and media experts will be expressing their views under one roof. Punjab University’s Institute of Communication Studies is busy in conferences’’ preparation these days, where teachers and students are putting their efforts together to make these conferences a success and fruitful for media community.
