Interim Chief Minister Punjab Dr. Hasan Askari continued the tradition of presiding over the meetings in time. He reached in time to preside over a high level meeting to review arrangements for elections, security matters and law and order. Interim ministers, secretaries, senior officers fromPak Army, police and law enforcements institutions also attended the meeting. Dr. Hasan Askari stressed the need for fair and free elections. He ordered the authorities to ensure that all political parties get equal chances for election campaign. Whenthe start of dengue season was pointed out at the meeting, Interim CM Dr. Hasan Askari smiled and said: ‘’dengue is also ready toshow up in elections’’. He invitedthe interim finance minister to talk first, saying: ‘’you talk first because you are to provide funds for elections’’. All participants smiled at these remarks.
