139th meeting of Governing Body Punjab Employees Social Security under chairmanship of Provincial Minister Labour and Human Resources Ansar Majeed Khan was held in PESSI Headquarters. Additional Secretary Labour Punjab, Commissioner Punjab Employees Social Security Saqib Manan, representatives of finance, industries, specialized healthcare, medical advisor, Punjab workers foundation, Pakistan trade union foundation and other members of Governing Body were also participated in this meeting. Important decisions were made by Minister Labour Ansar Majeed Khan in this meeting. He said that biometric system in all social security hospitals, Directorates and offices must be ensured. All medical facilities in all social security hospitals for patients being ensured on priority basis. Internees should continue their job in all hospitals till further orders. Matter regarding institutional private practice was discussed in details in Governing Body session. Certificates will be issued to internees in case of completion of their decided duration. Matter of new recruitment to meet acute shortage of staff was also discussed.
Provincial Minister Labour and Human Resources Ansar Majeed Khan has further said on this occasion that decision to give status of graduate teaching hospital to Rehmatal-lil-Almeen Hospital will be taken soon. All medical facilities for patients in social security hospitals will be reviewed during surprise visits. Establishment of new directorates will increase the overall efficiency of the department. Additional Secretary Labour Punjab and Commissioner PESSI briefed the Minister Labour about meeting agenda.
