A meeting was held under the chair of Provincial Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal at the office of Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC). Schemes of PSIC and progress on the cluster development project were reviewed in the meeting. It was decided to make fully operational auto-parts support centre, Kot Lakhpat which was closed since the last 10 years. While addressing the meeting, Provincial Minister for Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that the aim of cluster development project is to boost export. Therefore, the project should be implemented in letter and spirit. He said many schemes are being introduced for skilled youth to start their employment. He said make cluster but I want result. We have to work for the progress and prosperity of the country which has given us much. He said that we have to provide facilities to manufacturers and investors. Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that women has pivotal role in the progress and prosperity of the country. Therefore, women are given special incentives in the schemes of PSIC. He said performance audit of the cluster development project should also be done. MD PSIC, Project Director and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
