Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Col® Hashim Dogar has said that the Punjab Government is making a policy to provide special grants to female laborers to feed their children for two years. He said that breast feeding not only brings natural gap between the birth of children but also mothers would be able to focus their attention on their children. He was talking with party workers and officers of Population Welfare Department, here today. The minister said that poverty and ignorance are the main reasons of population explosion and only education can tackle it. Hashim Dogar, asked Ulemas to support government in its steps taking for creating awareness among people about population control. The minister said that Punjab Government has increased the budget of population welfare department after understanding the importance of this issue of population.
