Ombudsperson Punjab, Mrs. Rukhsana Gillani decided a complaint of harassment at workplace against a Headmaster of Special Education Center. A lady teacher in her complaint of harassment has alleged that the Headmaster has been harassing her since she was appointed in Special Education Center. The Headmaster whenever would come across her, uttered filthy verses, tried to hold her hand, gave unethical gestures. When the Headmaster realized his failure in his negative designs, he tried to initiate departmental inquiries against her. Complainant lodged complaint of sexual harassment against the said Headmaster. Ombudsperson took immediate notice and after hearing the parties’ versions at length, found the Headmaster guilty of sexual harassment, and awarded penalty of removal from service to him.
