Mian Aslam Iqbal Presides Meetings at Civil Secretariat

Provincial Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal presided over meetings at Civil Secretariat here today. Matters related to ease of doing business, inspector-less regime and colonization of industrial zones were reviewed in these meetings. Secretary Industry Nadeem ur Rehman, DG Industry, Chief Inspector Boiler and officers of Punjab Industrial States Development and Management Company attended the meetings.

While addressing these meetings, the provincial Minister for Industries & Trade said that steps are being taken to ease of doing business seriously under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. He said such a system is being evolved for the tax collection and promotion of industry which will facilitate the industrialists. This system will be transparent and integrated and no one could raise finger on it. He said steps are being taken rapidly to introduce inspector-less regime in the province and no one will disturb industrialists on the name of inspection by implementing this system. He said all the issues created by inspection of industries will be come to an end by the implementation of this inspector-less regime. He said process of consultation with all stakeholders is continuing for bringing reforms in tax collection system and to introduce inspector-less regime. He said that new system will be evolved with the consultation of industrialists and business community. Provincial Minister directed that comprehensive presentation should be given about installation and inspection of boilers in industries. He said industrialists will be given facility if we collect taxes from them.  Tax collection system is being revamped for this purpose, he added. He said third party system for the inspection of boilers will be introduced and best companies will be registered in all the divisions. DG Industries and authorities of Punjab Industrial States Development and Management Company, briefed the meeting about the steps taken in this regard.
