The Provincial Minister for Environmental Protection M.Rizwan visited Environment protection department after taken the charge on Monday. The Secretary Dr Zafar Nasrullah Khan along entire staff welcomed the Minister and brief about functions of department. The provincial minister met with entire staff of the department and also visited Air, Waste and Water Labs. Secretary Dr Zafar told to the Minister that Punjab Government had set up Punjab Clean Air Commission and further committees had been established at the tehsil and district level for monitoring the measures to control environmental pollution. Provincial minister M. Rizwan appreciated the efforts done by department so for and said that smog badly disrupted the daily life, therefore a sustainable policy to prevent it to be devised. He assured all the staff that he will fully cooperate with those, who will perform his duties honestly and perform his role in protecting Pakistan from environmental pollution.
