The provincial minister of HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine has said that promotion of education, besides eradication of poverty and illiteracy from the society, is the top priority of the PTI government. He said in order to achieve the goal of a new Pakistan, free quality education should be provided to every child because education is the most important mean in the journey of development. He said Government of Punjab will try to bring all out of school children to school and for this a comprehensive strategy being planned. The minister said that no nation can progress without education. He expressed these views while addressing an annual prize distribution ceremony of a private school at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Thursday. Chairman city school foundation Dr. Asim Naseem said that Urdu is our national language and it is really an excellent initiative by the Government to ask the teachers to teach their primary level students in Urdu. It will become easy for many of the students as they will easily understand what their teachers are saying. Also, many of the students will get the opportunity to improve their Urdu listening and reading skills. The provincial minister said during his address that the (PTI) Punjab Government is very serious on bringing considerable changes in the school curriculum policy. He said the Government of Punjab is very keen to provide quality education to all and that’s why it has decided to bring these sorts of changes across Punjab. At the end of the ceremony different prize and certificate presented to students and teachers, who showed extra ordinary performance during the current year. In the ceremony teachers of different schools, parents and large number of students were present.
