The Provincial Minister of HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine had said that Government of PTI is committed to provide equal opportunities to the religious minorities and the Christmas grant will be increased by 100 million instead of 30 million in next year for the betterment of the minorities. The minister said that Punjab government is giving financial assistance to the poor man of minority to improve their social living. The Minister expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of distribution financial assistance cheques among minorities at District Khanewal, on previous day. Provincial minister said that the current government is taking all steps for the welfare of minorities and soon health cards also will be issued to the Christian community. At the end of the ceremony, Minister Ijaz Alam along with DC Khanewal and MPA Shahida Ahmed distributed worth of 5,000 cheques to Christian community. MPA Shahida Ahmed, DC Khanewal, Chairman of the Christian council, District President of Minorities and other representatives of PTI were present in the ceremony.
