SED Working for Improving the Quality of Education- Murad Raas

Provincial Minister for Schools Education Murad Raas has said that a roadmap has been prepared to improve the organisational standard of small and medium-scale private educational institutions in the province so that best-possible education could be provided to the children who mostly belong to the low-income families.

He stated this while addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony of a private school situated in Qainchi area of Walton Road here on Monday. He said that government is working round-the-clock for the betterment of the education sector and added that private schools were being encouraged to provide necessary educational facilities to the students including sports and co-curricular activities. He asked the teachers to encourage their students to take part in different co-curricular activities so that the passions of sportsman-spirit, confidence and leadership abilities inculcated in them. He said that education sector should not be treated as a money-minting machine as its broader aim should be to transform the societal norms. The private school owners should extend their cooperation to the government for spreading the light of knowledge in the society, he added. Murad Raas said that teachers should also give attention to the aspect of character building of their students because our children are the leaders of tomorrow. This would help them to emerge as the useful citizens of the society. Later, the minister distributed cash-prizes, shields and certificates among the winning students.
