On the directions of the Chief Minister Punjab, provincial ministers have started to visit government hospitals in their jurisdiction and on Friday Punjab Minister for Disaster Management Mian Khalid Mahmud paid a surprise visit to District Headquarter Hospital of Sheikhupura. He took a round of emergency, trauma center and other departments where he enquired about the health of the patients and asked them about the facilities being extended to them. Punjab Minister advised the doctors and nurses to work with missionary zeal and fervor and provide the best possible services to the ailing humanity. He said that we have to upgrade the health standard as per the requirement of the present time and it is our moral and constitutional duty to ensure health coverage to every citizen without any discrimination. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has declared the last week of March for proper cleanliness around every public sector organization so we have to comply with this instruction in government hospitals as well. Mian Khalid Mahmud also talked with the attendants of the patients and listened to their complaints as well. He also issued on the spot instructions to redress the genuine grievances of the people present there. Medical Superintendent of District Headquarter Hospital Sheikhupura Dr. Niaz Ahmed gave a detailed briefing to the Punjab Minister for Disaster Management Mian Khalid Mahmud about the working of the hospital.
Talking to the media, Mian Khalid Mahmud said that there would be no compromise on the provision of health facilities to the masses. He added that to ensure the proper health standard in all the hospitals, the Chief Minister has directed all the Ministers to undertake visit in their respective districts. Mian Khalid Mahmud said that there is always room for improvement and we have to ensure that no stone is being left unturned in providing modern and latest medical services to the masses of Punjab. He further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has a great vision of significant uplift in health and education sectors and in the coming days visible change would be there in the biggest province of Pakistan, in this regard.
