PTI to Transfer Clean & Green Pakistan to Coming Generations

Punjab Minister for Housing & Urban Development Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed has said that neat and clean environment helps in developing a healthy society adding that we should make concerted and comprehensive efforts to provide a pollution-free environment to our coming generations. According to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI government will make Pakistan clean and green and for this purpose, there is a need that the people and the line departments should play their active and positive role so that the objectives of a green Pakistan could be achieved. He stated this while addressing a seminar held at District Council Hall Nankana Sahib in connection with cleanliness week. MNA Brig. (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah, Deputy Commissioner Raja Mansoor Ahmad, DPO Muhammad Naveed and others were also present on this occasion.

The Minister said that all the line departments should perform their duties under a comprehensive strategy so that 100 percent targets of tree plantation campaign could be achieved. The fixed targets should be achieved at every cost so that the people could be provided a healthy environment. He said that district office of LDA has been established at Nankana Sahib so that public issues could be solved at the local level. MNA Brig. (R) Ijaz Ahmad Shah said that by maintaining cleanliness, we can save ourselves from certain diseases. Clean and green programme is a positive step of Punjab government, he said. DC Raja Mansoor Ahmad while addressing the seminar said that awareness walks would be carried out in the entire district to sensitize the people about the importance of cleanliness. Later, provincial minister planted saplings in the lawns of Deputy Commissioner Complex. An awareness walk was also held in this regard.
