Mr. Riadh Boukhris, CEO of French I-tech Company Xona Blue and Anwar Hussain Khan CEO of Dawn Bread separately called on Punjab Minister for Trade and Industry Mian Aslam Iqbal at PBIT office here on Tuesday and discussed various matters of mutual interest including opportunities of investment in the province. Riadh Boukhris said that Punjab is an attractive place for investment and Xona Blue is desirous of partnership in agriculture and I-tech sectors. Anwar Hussain Khan informed about the establishment of a new unit in Muridki and expressed the desire to set up another industrial unit in M-III industrial estate Faisalabad for which land is required.
While talking to Riadh Boukhris, Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal said that vast opportunity of investment is available in agriculture, IT and other sectors. He said that trained human resource is being prepared to meet the needs of the industry as more than 400 technical education institutions along with two technical universities are engaged in imparting technical education to the students. Two more technical universities are also being set up in Punjab and French company can also provide technical assistance in this regard. While talking to Anwar Hussain Khan, the Minister for Trade & Industry said that foreign investment cannot be increased without restoring the confidence of the local investors as increase in local investment will attract foreign investment to boost the process of industrialization for creating more job opportunities. He assured that every possible cooperation will be extended for new investment. CEO PBIT and others were also present on the occasion.
