Punjab Minister for Health Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has said that Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute will perform its best after constituting of Board of Governors. She expressed these words while chairing the first meeting of Board of Governors of PKLI. Provincial Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Capt. (Retd.) Saqib Zafar, Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, Chairman BOG Dr. Javed Raza Gardezi, Tazeen Zia, Khusro Pervaiz Khan, Ali Agha, Khalil Ahmed and Ambreen Irfan were also there. Minister Health discussed the roadmap to improve the performance of PKLI with Board of Governors. New BOG was constituted according to new act and vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. She further said that there will be the keen emphasis on research work alongwith transplantation of liver and kidney in PKLI. We got the services of very professional personalities in board of Governors. The basic purpose of new Board of Governors is to provide best medical facilities to the patients. Dr. Yasmeen Rashid has further said that performance of Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute will be monitored on monthly basis and further steps will be taken to improve its performance. Administration of PKLI is directed to provide friendly environment in the institute for patients.
