Provincial Minister for Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid has announced to set up trauma center in Gilgit-Baltistan. This was announced by her during her visit to Gilgit-Baltistan on the invitation of Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain. She also presided over a high level meeting at Governor Gilgit-Baltistan office. It is worth mentioning that Health Department, on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has recently donated eleven ambulances, 25 dialysis machines, eight reverse units, four digital videography machines, four colour Doppler, two mammography machines, nine X-ray machines, nine X-ray film processor, seven automatic elisa, nine automatic chemistry analyser, 22 dental units, three OPG machines, seven bio-chemistry analysers, four C-Arms, three cardiac monitors and 70 cardiac beds. The Minister further said that Punjab government will soon initiate work for setting up of a state-of-the-art trauma centre in Gilgit-Baltistan. She said that Punjab Health Department has determined to further cooperate with Gilgit-Baltistan government in different health sector programme. She said that trauma center in Gilgit-Baltistan will prove to be highly efficient for providing first aid to the injured in case of emergency in Gilgit-Baltistan. She said that best treatment facilities should be made available to the thousands of tourists. She said that best treatment facilities will be provided in trauma center set up with the cooperation of Punjab government. Governor Gilgit-Baltisitan Raja Jalal Hussain thanked the Dr. Yasmeen Rashid for providing assistance in Health Sector. He said that Dr. Yasmeen Rashid is playing vital role for improving the condition of public sector hospitals.
