Provincial Minister for Revenue Malik Anwar Meets with World Bank Delegation

Provincial Minister for Revenue Malik Muhammad Anwar met with seven member World Bank delegation headed by Dong Kyu Kwak in the committee room at new Minister Block in which officers of Punjab Land Record Authority, Board of Revenue and other concerned officers participated. Matters pertaining to digitalization of Punjab Urban Land Record and development targets were being discussed in detail on this occasion. The delegation presented different proposals and recommendations for setting up state-of-the-art comprehensive system and also durable land record management system. Detailed discussions also took place regarding revenue matters of urban areas. Malik Muhammad Anwar while expressing his views on this occasion said that we highly appreciate technical assistance given World Bank for urban land record digitalization. The World Bank delegation welcomed the steps taken by Punjab government for this purpose. Provincial Minister said that effective steps are being taken by Punjab government for improving revenue system in the province. He further said that under this step citizens will be facilitated for obtaining land record in 3000 branches of 30 private banks. Punjab Land Record Authority besides correcting the ownership land record of more than five crore fifty lac of Punjab Land Record Authority is also providing services to more than forty lac consumers on annual basis. Likewise, overseas Pakistanis will also be able to obtain property documents through online service. By abolishing conventional Patwar system, Patwari will be introduced as village officer. Declaring Pakistan economic outlook stable and consistent by international credit rating agency manifests its trust in government sincere efforts and commitment.
