CM Punjab Vows to Wage Effective War Against Corruption and Determined to Eradicate This Menace

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that a vigorous and effective campaign will be launched against corruption. In a statement issued here today, he said that we will neither do corruption nor allow anyone to do it. Usman Buzdar while addressing during the launching ceremony of Punjab Corruption Complaint App of Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment held at Prime Minister Office Islamabad said that we are fully determined to eradicate corruption in Punjab. Accountability and justice is the fundamental agenda of PTI and no society can prosper without ensuring accountability and justice. We will abide by the agenda of doing accountability and providing justice, he asserted. The launching of Punjab Corruption Complaint App will prove to usher a new era for the eradication of corruption in Punjab and we are also determined to eliminate corruption as well, he maintained. With the help of corruption complaint app, citizens can upload online video, pictures and complaints by sitting at their homes and can also inquire about status of their complaints through tracking system. Fruitful results are coming to surface after undertaking effective campaign being launched for uprooting corruption and other malpractices. In a very short span of time land amounting to Rs132 billion has been retrieved from land grabbers. Rs4.75 billion have been recovered, more than 2000 persons have been arrested, 32 thousand complaints have been redressed and ten thousand inquires have been completed. There is no precedence of such exemplary performance in such a brief period of time, he emphasized. Usman Buzdar appealed to the general public that they should come forward for rooting out corruption and play their effective role in this regard.
