Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar visited Khanewal and inspected first model police station Kahna and DHQ Hospital on Friday. He presided over a meeting at Circuit House to review the law and order situation and development schemes. He also met with district office-bearers of PTI and assured to solve their problems on a priority basis. A smartly tuned-out contingent of the police squad presented the guard of honor to the chief minister at PS Kahna where Usman Buzdar inspected the working of front-desk. He collected token and went to victim support officer upon his turn to examine the new system. He also inspected newly constructed lockup and operation room from where the whole police station is monitored. He inquired the field investigation officer from operation room about progress on the case. Usman Buzdar also examined crime mapping system linked with Pukar 15. Zainab Malik is posted as SHO in this model police station where the applicants can monitor progress on their applications from the respective counters. The applicants are also offered tea. Usman Buzdar expressed the satisfaction over arrangements and appreciated the establishment of tea bar. Separate recreational facilities are also arranged for police employees. Talking on this occasion, he said that changing the thana culture has been started from this model police station and the scope of model police stations will be expanded to the whole of the province in phases. The thana culture is being revamped and change will be visible to the people soon. Police will be made a public-friendly force in the real sense, he added. The PS Kahna has been revamped according to the aspirations of the people by changing its culture. Provincial minister Syed Hussain Jahania Gardezi, Commissioner and RPO Multan, DC Khanewal and others were also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar also inspected the emergency and other wards of DHQ Hospital Khanewal. He also visited CT Scan Room and physiotherapy room. He went to different wards and inquired after the patients. The Chief Minister also reviewed the medical facilities being provided to the patients. He also met with the attendants of the patients and inquired about the medical facilities being provided to their patients in the hospital. Usman Buzdar while announcing to provide more dialysis machines in the hospital said that more medical facilities and equipment will be provided on the priority basis for the treatment of kidney patients. He said that Trauma Center of the hospital will be made functional in January at any cast. He also announced to issue Sahet Insaaf Card for the journalists of Khanewal as well and said that government will extend all out cooperation in the treatment of journalists. He said that DHQ hospitals will be made most modern as government is determined to further improve the hospitals and modern healthcare facilities will be provided to the patients. Government has provided resources worth billion of rupees to ensure free of cost medicine to the patients in the hospital. Usman Buzdar said that he personally visiting the public sector hospital to review the situation. Usman Buzdar said that this is your’s government and I am your’s Chief Minister. I will do everything which will be required for bringing betterment in the overall condition of public sector hospital, the Chief Minister stated. Secretary Primary and Secondary Health gave briefing to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister, under plantation campaign, planted sapling in the lawn of Circuit House Khanewal. A high-level meeting was held at Circuit House under the chair of Chief Minister Punjab for reviewing the progress of development schemes as well as law and order situation. Usman Buzdar while announcing to construct and repair all the roads of district Khanewal and said that resources will be provided on priority basis for this purpose. He said that sub-campus of agri university will be setup in Khanewal whereas rescue 1122 centre will be constructed in Talamba besides constructing road from Pul-14 to 132/10R. While announcing to construct underpass in Mian Chanoo, he said that new buses will be provided to the students of Girls College Jahania. He said that new dialysis machines will be provided in the hospitals of Kabirrwala and Mian Chanoo besides Khanewal whereas funds will be provided for repairing and construction of dilapidated schools buildings. All the missing faculties will be provided in the Basic Health Centre Khanewal. MRI and CT scan machines will be provided for THQ hospital Jahania. He directed to complete the construction of all the roads being constructed under Rural Road Construction Programme at the earliest. He said that life and property of the people of Khanewal will be safeguard at any cost and anti-criminal campaign will remain continue with the same zeal. The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister Syed Hussain Jahanai Gardezi, Assembly Member Syed Khawar Ali Shah, Syed Abbas Ali Shah, Shahida Malika Hayat, Commissioner Multan Division, RPO Multan, Deputy Commissioner Khanewal, DPO Khanewal and other concerned authorities. Party members of PTI Khanewal also called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Circuit House Khanewal. During the meeting, the Chief Minister said office bearers and party workers are our asset. Hurdles in the genuine works of office bearers and workers will not be tolerated. He said that your respect is my respect. He said that office bearers and party workers will be given due respect. Khanewal is my second home and I will visit again and again, said Chief Minister. Usman Buzdar said that he will personally visit Jahania and Kabirwala and review the situation. Process of consultations with the party workers will remain continue. Buses would be plied from Khanewal to Kabirwala for providing better transport facilities to the citizens.
