Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid Paid Surprise Visit of DHQ Narowal

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Wednesday reached District Headquarters Hospital Narowal on a surprise visit and checked staff presence as well as availability of medicines at the Emergency Ward of the Hospital. Medical Superintendent DHQ Narowal and staff of the hospital was present on duty. The Minister visited the Emergency Ward, Operation Theaters, Gynae and all other areas of the Hospital. She also monitored general cleanliness, checked Attendance Registers, Duty Rosters, medical facilities and administrative affairs at DHQ Hospital Narowal and gave directives in areas requiring improvement. The Minister inquired from the patients about the facilities at the hospital who mostly expressed satisfaction with the services. 

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the purpose of the surprise visits was to monitor the facilities and ensure that staff was present and services were provided at district level. “These visits have been helpful in improving the service delivery as well as streamlining the administrative affairs,” the Minister said. She further said that through Sehat Insaf Cards, five million families have been given access to quality health care. The facility will soon be extended to over 7 million people in Punjab’s all 36 districts. The Minister further said, “Punjab will have to put a lot of efforts to reach international standards of health care. This is dream for which myself and my team are putting our best efforts.”
