Secretary Industries extended his heartiest felicitations on the occasion and wished Christians in Pakistan and all over the world a merry Christmas. Today in Industries, Commerce, Investment & Skills Development Department Secretary Industries celebrated Christmas with Christian employees working in the department. Secretary ICI&SDD announced honoraria for the Christian employees before Christmas along with early salaries. Worthy Secretary said that we are sitting together today and celebrating Christmas because the rights of minorities are protected by the Pakistani constitution and the Holy Quran also guarantee the right of minorities. He further said that post 9/11 world order and behaviors toward the Muslim community changed all over the world and Muslim minorities and their identities were marginalized. He said that Pakistan was made after a lot of sacrifices and Quaid e Azam was the staunch protector of minorities and their rights. Secretary Industries said that the Pakistani flag is an epitome of minorities and their rights empowered to them by the Pakistani constitution. In wake of present scenarios of Muslims in India and Kashmir, he said that it is indispensable to protect our minorities to set a benchmark for the international fraternity and other societies. He said that events like this will usher and promote interfaith harmony and will discourage religious discrimination while promoting unanimous brotherhood, Pan-Islamism in Pakistan which will strengthen the federation and will act as a fulcrum for the national integrity of our country. This event will be a harbinger of peace, love, justice, and brotherhood positively. Secretary ICI&SDD and other officers presented floral bouquets and cakes to the employees while the event ended with a prayer in which all the officers and employees prayed for the prosperity of Pakistan, Muslim Ummah along with Muslims suffering in Kashmir. Secretary ICI&SD Department also expressed that the Punjab Government will implement measures that would restore a sense of security amongst our minorities. He said that minorities in Pakistan are safe and practice their religions without any fear or insecurity is spirit of Quaid’s vision and Islamic teachings.
