Minister HR&MA Ijaz Alam Attended a Singing Competition Regarding Celebration of Christmas

Provincial department HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine attended a singing competition regarding celebration of Christmas and welcome to New Year at Faislabad on Sunday. Ceremony was organized by District Coordination Committee for Minorities at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s auditorium. The boys and girls from different walks of life participated in the event. The Minister Ijaz Alam Augustine praised the organizer on the Christmas song competition and congratulated the position holders of the competition. In his address, minister said that such programs are commendable move to promote love and peace by the youth. He said that the Arts Council's initiatives are ideal for promotion of art and culture, as well as effective to highlight the initiatives of Punjab government for the promotion of culture. The minister said that Pakistani youth is capable of tackling every challenge, need is to encourage them at every level. Other parliamentarians also appreciated the competition and expressed their thoughts on youth performances. They said that according to the Constitution of Pakistan all Pakistanis are equal citizens and have full faith on the protection of the rights of minorities. At the end of the ceremony, the minister Ijaz Alam distributed prizes among first three position holders and also certificates among other singers. On the occasion Deputy Commissioner Mian Aftab Ahmed, MPAs Faizullah Kamoka, Latif Nazar, senior Leader of PTI Rana Zahid Mahmood, City President PTI Mehboob Alam Sindhu, President West Region Punjab Minority Wing Habkukul Gul, District Coordinator Sulaiman Younis and other minority community members were present.
