Health Cards are Being Distributed to Journalists Across the Province: Provincial Information Minister

Provincial Information Minister Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has said that according to the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, health cards are being distributed among journalists across the province. Advertisements are being given to newspapers on merit and newspaper owners should pay timely salaries to their workers. He expressed these views while addressing in the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected office-bearers of Gujrat Press Club. Deputy Commissioner Dr Khurram Shahzad and DPO Gujrat Tauseef Haider were also present in the ceremony. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan said that he has talked with concerned ministry regarding issuance of health cards and members of press clubs will be given facility of health cards for their treatment. He said that he is himself a political worker and newspaper workers are close to his heart. I always give priority to their interests, he maintained. Advertisements have been made system automated in DGPR Punjab and report is submitted to me on the first of every month that which newspaper was given how many advertisements, he added. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Chohan commended positive reporting from media in Gujrat and said that media is fourth pillar of the state which has to play its positive role for national progress, he concluded.
