Lahore Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Punjab Nadeem Irshad Kayani said that professional training and capacity building of livestock farmers will be done on priority basis. Economy of the country will be strengthened by facilitating the cattle farmers of backward areas. He said this during the visit of Dera Ghazi Khan Division. The objective of visit was to review the performance of field formations, provision of services, medicines and other facilities. Director General, divisional directors and other officers and officials of Livestock Department were accompanying him. The Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development also visited the tribal areas of D.G.Khan Division on special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar. He met with tribal cattle farmers and inquired about the provision of mobile veterinary dispensaries and availability of medicines, vaccines and other facilities at civil veterinary dispensaries. He also visited Tehsil Kot Adu of District Muzaffargarh and specially visited those areas which are feared to be affected by floods and reviewed arrangements. He issued instructions to ensure the reporting system of diseases as well as compilation of data.
Secretary Live stock also visited Civil Dispensary situated at Moza Salari of Koh e Suleman and reviewed field services. He directed to make available the schedule of mobile veterinary dispensaries and field staff at respective veterinary institutes. He instructed to make proformas keeping in view the problems of live stock farmers. He stressed on making effective strategy for capacity building and increasing live- stock production.
