The Provincial Minister HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine has welcomed all the Kabaddi teams in Pakistan including Indian team. He said that Kabaddi World Cup in Punjab could be a turning point for restoring the lost popularity of the traditional Pakistani game. He said that participation of 10 different country’s teams in the mega event will highlight the positive image of Pakistan regarding peaceful and game-loving country. The minister said that unfortunately due to lack of interest and terrorism in the country, playground became a desert but in the tenure of PTI all possible resources being utilized to restore peaceful activities. He also paid tribute to institutions of security forces especially the Pak Army to eliminate terrorism in the country. He said that due to sacrifices of the martyred, people are enjoying in the tribal area also where fear existed. The minister said that guest teams expressed their desire to come back again in Pakistan, which is a good omen for Pakistan to the restoration of the traditional game. It is the best time for us to show Pakistan’s soft image to the international community and prove that Pakistan is a peaceful country, he concluded.
