Minister PWD Chairs PSL Security Plan Review Meeting

Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Col. (R) Hashim Dogar presided over a high-level meeting to review security plan of Pakistan Super League matches to be conducted in Lahore. The meeting was attended by Minister Sports Ray Taimur Khan, Chief Secretary Punjab Azam Suleman, Secretary Home Momin Ali Agha, IGP, representatives from Rangers Punjab and other security forces. In the meeting, the minister was briefed about the entire security arrangements, inside, & outside the cricket stadium and also on routes. It was decided in the meeting that schools and colleges located in the surrounding areas would remain open as usual on the days of matches. It was also decided to make separate parking places at four different places for the people who would come to see matches. The spectators will also be brought to the stadium through shuttle bus service. While addressing the meeting, spokespersons for Punjab government directed to make foolproof security arrangements. Moreover, he told that services of Punjab Rangers, in this regard would also be sought. In addition to this, security cameras will be installed inside, outside the grounds and on the routes as well. Hashim Dogar said that with the grace of Allah Almighty, this year too PSL will be as peaceful and successful as it was the last year.
