Welfare and prosperity of farmers is the top priority agenda of PTI government. Government is striving hard at every stage to get the farmers fixed prices of their agri products. This was stated by Provincial Minister for Agriculture Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial while talking to a delegation of Kisan Ittehad at Civil Secretariat today. Provincial Minister for Food Samiuallah Ch., Chairman Punjab Agriculture Marketing Regulatory Authority (PAMRA) Naveed Bhindar, Secretary Agriculture Wasif Khursheed, Secretary Food Waqas Ali Mehmood and Special Secretary Agriculture(Marketing) Waqar Hussain and other concerned officers were present at the occasion. Central President Anwar Bhindar, Central Coordinator Malik Zulfiqar Awan, Vice President Ch. Muhammad Ahmad and General Secretary Saleh Muhammad and other members were included in the delegation who met the ministers. The delegation informed the Minister Agriculture Malik Nauman Langrial and Minister Food Samiullah Ch. about the problems faced by the farmers. Provincial Minister for Food said that government is taking effective steps to get the farmers of sugarcane at fixed rates. He said that sugar mills are being monitored regularly and no one will be allowed to dacoit the rights of the farmers. Malik Nauman Langrial assured the farmers regarding support price of wheat that government will procure each and every grain of wheat from farmers at fixed rate.
