Minister Human Rights and Minority Affairs Distributes Scholarships

Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Ejaz Alam Augustine has said that education is a journey from darkness to light for which Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is working day and night as educational progress is real progress. He said that in order to achieve the goal of 100 per cent literacy rate, improvement of education standards, training of teachers on modern lines, the curriculum in line with the changing educational are requirements of the changing world, for which our government strives hard for quality of education as considering the prime duty to encourage deserving children. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony to distribute scholarships worth Rs. 1,380,000 among 49 students belonging to the Christian community at Civil Rest House, Okara on Monday. Ticket holders Chaudhry Muhammad Saleem Sadiq, Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir, Social Worker Qamar Abbas Mughal also distributed scholarship cheques among the students. These scholarships were for MBBS, M.Phil, MSc, MA, BS Honor and others. The provincial minister said in his address that these scholarships are being distributed among the talented and capable students of the district for the fifth time in two years, which is a manifestation of the knowledge-friendly nature of the PTI government under the present government headed by Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. The Government of Punjab using all possible resources for the promotion of education culture and development of the education sector in the province. After that, the provincial minister also attended Mahfil-e-Naat at district education authority office.
