Secretary, Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab Sarah Aslam reviewed daily activities of COVID-19 across the Punjab. Province witnessed a gradual decrease in COVID-19 infection rate. Yesterday 167 new cases have been reported, bringing the total number of cases to 347,347. Until now 328,401 patients have fully recovered across the province while the number of active cases is 8،148. During previous 24 hours, 1 more death had reported  by COVID-19 in Lahore, while 7 more deaths have reported across the Province, bringing the total number of deaths to 10,798. Yesterday 17,180 test samples were taken while a total of 5,775,478 tests have been taken so far. Last day 60 cases were reported in Lahore, 56 in Rawalpindi, 14 in Multan, 10 in Faisalabad, 3 in Chakwal and 3 in Rahim Yar Khan, while Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Jhang, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha and Sialkot has reported 2 positive cases each and in Bahawalnagar, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Khanewal, Okara, Vehari and Toba Tek Singh reported 1 positive case each. Yesterday, the average positivity ratio of COVID-19 was 1.0 in all the cities across the province. The provincial capital Lahore recorded a positivity ratio of 1.1, 1.1 in Faisalabad, 1.5 in Multan and 0.4 in Sialkot. In this regard Secretary P&SH Sarah Aslam said that Vaccines for COVID-19 are available in abundance at all the centers, so all citizens over the age of 18 must be vaccinated against the corona virus. People are also requested to take precautionary measures to protect themselves.
