Provincial Minister for HR&MA Ejaz Alam Augustine has said the government has taken historic steps to safeguard the rights of the minorities and implementing 5 percent quota in government jobs along with 2 percent quota for admissions in higher educational institutions was being ensured. He was speaking in a round table conference regarding protection of the rights of the minorities here on Thursday. The Minister further said all the land record was being computerized in Punjab to protect of the interests of the citizens and curb the menace of illegal land grabbing. The conference was attended by former members of assembly, legal experts and dignities belonging to various segments of the society.
