Minister Higher Education and Information Technology Punjab Raja Yasir Humayun visited Punjab pavilion in Dubai Expo 2020 and reviewed the arrangements for different events there. Chairman PITB Azfar Manzoor and Director General Sajid Latif were also present at that occasion. During his visit, the Minister also met with vice-president HUAWEI Liu GUI. HUAWEI Company gave a presentation to Raja Yasir Humayun regarding Smart City Project. Vice president and his team assured in making this project a success story. Furthermore, Huawei Company also expressed keen interest in the E-Governance project of the Punjab Government. While discussing in the session Raja Yasir said that serious efforts of the incumbent government for the IT sector has been acknowledged not only in Pakistan but also at international level. We have entered in a new IT era now international companies are taking keen interest in the field of information technology in Punjab. He said that the government has laid the foundation of a modern, prosperous and Digital Punjab. He said that with the promotion of information technology in Punjab, thousands of job opportunities will be generated for the youth of the province. He said that by participating in the Dubai Expo government has provided the platform to the entrepreneurs and start-ups at to promote their business at the international level. Later, Raja Yasir Humayun also participated in a discussion titled "Start-up Ecosystem" in the Pakistan pavilion at Dubai Expo where he briefed the audiences about achievement and opportunities in the field of Information Technology in Punjab.
