On the direction of Director General Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab Nadeem Sarwar Building Clerk Muhammad Nawaz of Gujranwala Region has been arrested due to cancellation of provisional bail from High Court. The accused Muhammad Nawaz incurred a loss to the national exchequer by issuing fake receipt books of building department worth Rs.75063440. Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab has initiated legal action against him. Moreover, Secretary Union Council Raja Rahu Ahmed Sharqia of district Bahawalpur has been arrested for issuing fake death certificate and initiated a legal action against the accused. Nadeem Sarwar further said that Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab is striving day and night for the elimination of corruption from the institutions and no leniency will be meted out against the corrupt elements.
