On the direction of Director General Anti-Corruption Punjab Nadeem Sarwar, the Rawalpindi Region Anti-Corruption Department has started an inquiry against the officers of Murree Municipal Corporation. In the inquiry the accused Owais Abbasi in connivance with the officers of the Municipal Corporation Murree constructed a commercial building without paying the commercial fee worth Rs.32,34,000 and construction fee worth Rs.50 lac. Accused Owais Abbasi deposited the first installment of the fee in the bank account of Municipal Corporation Murree and assured to deposit the remaining fee in the bank soon.
Meanwhile, in Sargodha region indirect recovery of Rs.1.33 million has been received in the Inquiry No. 177/22.
