An important MOU has signed between the Literacy Department and the Benazir Income Support Program under the chairmanship of Secretary Literacy Wajihullah Kundi and the teacher portal was also launched by the Literacy Department. Provincial Secretary Literacy & Non Formal Basic Education Wajihullah Kundi said in his address that the main objective of the Department of Literacy is to ensure access to the GPS location of adults and children deprived of education across Punjab. He said that to speed up the process of providing education to illiterate people and children living in all the backward areas of the province. For this, our teachers and mobilisers will be able to reach under GPS location. He further said that teachers' registration portal will also facilitate the process of online recruitment along with teachers' registration. Secretary Literacy said that all our focus is on who Also, the people of remote areas should not be deprived of education. On this occasion, Additional Secretary Literacy Bashir Ahmed Guraya, Directors Literacy, JICA and UNICEF concerned officers and a large number of civil society were present.
