CM Felicitates Christian Community on the Eve of Christmas

Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi congratulated the Christian community on the eve of Christmas that the day of 25th December is equally filled with rejoice for the Muslims and Christian community as it is marks the day of the birth of Hazrat Essa A.S and of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah RA.To promote peace and love is the essence of the teachings of Hazrat Essa A.S and it is an integral part of Islamic religion to have faith in all the Holy Prophets including Hazrat Essa A.S.CM in his message on Christmas occasion acknowledged the christian community for playing a vigorous role in the development and progress of Pakistan. Pakistan belongs to all of us and the minorities have equal rights of complete religious freedom and progress.CM stated that the Punjab government is undertaking all steps to safeguard the rights of minorities.The minority male and female students are allocated 2 percent quota for getting admission in higher educational institutions. Five percent quota has been fixed for the minorities in employment.CM disclosed that Human Rights & Minorities Affairs budget has been enhanced five times and fixed at rupees 2 billion 50 crore.Rupees 40 crore are being allocated for the restoration of minorities religious places and rupees 10 crore are being earmarked for boundary wall of the minorities graveyards. The minority development fund which was rupees 10 crore previously has been increased 10 times and this fund has been enhanced up to rupees one billion.CM informed that educational scholarships worth rupees 50 million are being granted during the current year.Under the Economic Package for Minorities rupees 60 million has been earmarked.An assistance package worth rupees 10 thousand to every family has been given to all deserving persons on the occasion of Christmas, Holi and birth day of Baba Guru Nanak. CM stated that the minorities are mistreated in the neighbouring country India on the contrary to Pakistan.Human rights are not only trampled upon in India being false claimants of having a democratic state and the minorities are not safe in India.If we keep a look at the Kashmir Valley then the obnoxious face of India about minorities has been fully exposed.
