Local Government Secretary Punjab Pervez Iqbal while visiting the Pine Avenue Lahore sale point has said that every possible resource was being used to provide the best facilities in the cattle markets and sale points established throughout the province, yet there is no complaint. However, complaint centers had also been set up at cattle markets. He was visiting the Pine Avenue sale point on Friday. On this occasion,, the Secretary along with CEO of LWMC Babar Sahib Din also distributed waste bags among the buyers and traders at the sale point. He directed to provide parking sites and canopies for shade, mobile banking and veterinary campus for the stakeholders. The Secretary said that the cleaning operation at all sale points including Shahpur Kangran Cattle Market in Lahore was going on in three shifts and more than 100 employees were deployed in all the three shifts. He said, " more than 50 machines are provided for cleaning arrangements, however, in case of any kind of complaint at cattle markets and sale points, the citizens and sellers may contact on help line 1198 or Cattle Market Helpline 1233 and the public is requested that the leftover of animals, fodder etc should be dumped in green waste bins installed to help keep the city clean on the Eid-ul-Azha.
On this occasion, CEO of LWMC also gave a briefing to Local Government Secretary Pervez Iqbal, in which it was told that water was being sprinkled with the help of water generators at the entrances and exits of the markets, while in every market, special campuses have also been set up for public awareness and supply of waste bags for disposal of waste will be ensured from these campuses.
