Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi issued directions for expeditious water drainage in other cities including Lahore due to torrential rains. Mohsin Naqvi ordered the provincial administration, PDMA, Rescue 1122 and WASA to remain alert adding that all resources should be utilised for water drainage. Mohsin Naqvi directed the concerned officers to come out in the field and should themselves oversee water drainage work. Water drainage should be ensured on preferential basis from low-lying areas and main roads. Mohsin Naqvi directed to complete water drainage work in the stipulated time through necessary machinery. Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi asserted that he will not tolerate any negligence in water drainage work adding that effective management should be done in order to maintain traffic flow. Mohsin Naqvi directed that water drainage work should be done in a proactive manner so as to redress difficulties of citizens.
