Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Director General Muhammad Tahir Wattoo presided over a meeting on Friday, focusing on horticultural developments throughout the city. The meeting covered various aspects of greenery, including the planting of new flowers in green belts, planters along streets and highways, and tree pruning efforts on Mall Road.
During the meeting, it was reported that new flowers had been planted in the city's green belts, enhancing the aesthetics of streets and gardens. Additionally, flowers are being introduced into planters along roadways, contributing to the city's overall beauty and greenery. In a directive issued during the meeting, the director general also emphasized the need to enhance and beautify horticultural efforts in GOR-1.
DG PHA also reviewed the progress of horticultural work on Mall Road, particularly in support of the district administration's arrangements for upcoming cricket matches in the Asia Cup. He was informed that PHA teams have pruned shrubs and trees that were obstructing security cameras on the route.
