The historic Quaid-e-Azam (Mall Road) in the heart of Pakistan's Lahore is set to undergo a transformation into a dust-free model road. Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has granted approval for this ambitious project. The plan includes the planting of high-quality grass along the sides of Mall Road and an increase in the number of trees in the green belt area. Additionally, new water tanks will be constructed to efficiently capture and store rainwater for the city. Uniform and aesthetically pleasing signboards will be strategically placed along Mall Road in consultation with local traders. Measures to eradicate encroachments and optimize the parking system are also in the pipeline. Moreover, cleanliness standards on Mall Road will be brought in line with those of the world's leading cities. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for the final plan to be presented in the coming days to kickstart the transformation of Mall Road into a dust-free model road. This directive was issued during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, attended by the Secretary to the Chief Minister, Deputy Commissioner of Lahore, Director General PHA, and the Chief Executive Officer of Lahore Waste Management Company.
