Relief Commissioner Punjab Takes Big Step to Deal with Smog


Relief Commissioner Punjab has taken a big step to deal with the disaster of smog. It has been decided to restrict normal life in Lahore and Gujranwala divisions. Relief Commissioner Punjab Nabil Javed said that transportation will be restricted in Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura and Kasur districts. The decision to restrict transportation in Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sialkot, Narowal, Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin districts has also been made. According to the decision, all public and private educational institutions will be closed on Saturday, November 18. It is at the discretion of the educational institutions to organize online classes. Relief Commissioner Punjab Nabil Javed further said that markets, shops, cinemas and offices will be closed till 3 pm. The people and the government together can avoid the harmful effects of this calamity. Diseases are spreading due to smog; it is very important to control it. People and businesses should cooperate with the government.
