Livestock and Dairy Development Department Introduces First Mobile Livestock Clinic for Service Delivery in Lahore


The Department of Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab has introduced the first mobile livestock clinic for service delivery in Lahore as an important initiative regarding the care and treatment of pets. Provincial Agriculture Minister Ashiq Hussain Kirmani formally inaugurated the mobile (van) and also inspected the facilities provided in it. Secretary Livestock and Dairy Development Punjab Masood Anwar and Director General (Extension) Asif Sahi were also present on this occasion.

Provincial Agriculture Minister said on the occasion that this mobile service will provide free treatment facilities of animals at the doorstep of people's homes in Lahore city. A doctor, veterinary assistant, attendant and driver including 4 staff members will be on duty in the van in two shifts. The provincial minister said that the value of this van is worth Rs. 85 lakh. Later, in the second phase, 25 vans will be added which will provide to different districts of Punjab,he added. Ashiq Hussain Kirmani maintained that for the convenience of the citizens of Lahore, a toll-free number 080009211/0331-6428829 has been mentioned on the van for guidance and free advice.
