Featuring perfect rich creamy (buttery) taste blended with spices, Punjabi food is the most finger-licking food you’ll ever try. One commonality between all Punjabi dishes is the usage of desi ghee, and people of Punjab are fond of sweet-meats also. The iconic ‘Sarson da Saag’ and ‘Makki di Roti’ is on top of all, showcasing the agrarian roots in cuisine of Punjab. There are some other dishes that are exclusive to Punjab such as Mah-di-Daal, Daal Makhni, Aloo Paratha, Paratha, Baisan ki Roti etc.  A typical Punjabi meal is not complete without pickle.

In beverages, tea is consumed in all seasons and as a custom most of Punjabis serve tea to their guests. Punjabis are also fond of Zarda, Gulab Jamun, Kheer, Jalaibi, Samosay, Pokaray etc. During summer, people drink Lassi, Doodh, Soda, Aloo Bokhary ka Sharbat, and Lemonade. These cuisines have become worldwide delicacies with large scale representation.
